Major Nichols’ portfolio of the meeting minutes of the Administrative Executive Committee, 1962-1972 documents the meetings and decisions of the chief governing body of the Academy as they decided issues of staffing, finances, facilities, cadet behavior, enrollment, campus wide events, and cadet participation in civic events. Of particular interest are the discussions that led to de-emphasis of the military program in the face of declining enrollment in the late 1960’s.
