Abstract

Article on Manzanita Hall pubished in The Palo Alto Times two years after the School opened. Describes MH as the "leading preparatory school for boys" for entry to Stanford University. The primary school (one of very few references to there initially being a program for younger boys) has been discontinued to make room for expansion of the "advanced department." Describes the qualifications of Frank Cramer, principal, as well as many of the other instructors he has hired. Also references athletics in the MH program, and states students go on to compete in athletics at Stanford, "making fine records in intercollegiate contests."
